I'm not sure what these are. The Mommy is the brown one and she had a set of fluffy black triplets.

He was rounding up fish and then grabbing them.

Black Necked Stilt. Related to our Sandpipers.

Red Winged Blackbird-the kids thought it had an injury.

Fresh Water Turtle.

 All types of birds together. There is a Roseate Spoonbill in the middle. That's Wyland Whaling Wall #53 in the background.

We saw Ally the American Alligator. She/He was under one of the birding platforms so I couldn't get my own picture.

Queen Isabella Causeway-the only road connecting the island to mainland Texas. Two miles long.

 Sea Turtle, Inc. Rescue, rehab and education. They have lots of permanent residents that have been injured. Most are missing at least one fin. One turtle has a prosthesis because she only has ONE fin. This usually means the turtle is put down. They made her an experimental prosthesis. Very cool! She swam around too fast to get a picture though.
